Our qualified and experienced staff provide fun, loving & safe learning experiences which support the children in developing into confident, independent and happy learners.

We select and appoint our staff not only for their qualifications and experiences but their passion for working with children.
Umbrella House creates an environment and reputation with which staff are proud to be associated, supporting staff from the moment they join us. We ensure that they have regular supervision & appraisal, and attend internal and external training, to enable them to progress in their employment with us.

Sena Jim-George - B.Ed. (Hons) EYPS PGDip
Director

Sena has worked her whole career in education as a teacher, early years practitioner, nursery manager, Head of Nursery Education and tutor.  She has worked within the early years settings since 1991.  She provides high standards of service and quality both with people and the nursery provision. 

Sena is passionate about the well-being of all children, with a genuine interest in every child.  She is hands-on and has an open-door policy.  Her commitment reflects on the staff and makes the nursery the most desirable place to be.

She sets the pace and the cultural tone in the way she behaves towards other people respecting and valuing others, and this follows through within the whole team.  She provides the leadership for a team who creates a true family environment for our nursery settings.

Morenike Ejimbe - BA PGCE
Nursery Manager & SENCo

Morenike has dedicated her life and career to bringing out the best in children. She has over 10 years of working in education and childcare. Her passion for children's development is infectious towards staff and reassuring for families. 

Her role as the nursery manager is based on building strong partnerships with parents/guardians and supporting her staff to reach their potential. She ensures that the setting a fun, safe and secure environment for children to strive every day. As the nursery's SENCO, Morenike is responsible for supporting staff and families in providing the appropriate and/or additional provision for children based on their needs, strengths and views.

  

Emma Husswin-Irvine 
Deputy Manager 

Emma makes our families always feel reassured and confident that their children are receiving the best care.  She works excellently in developing strong parent partnerships and going the extra mile to meet the needs of each individual child.  Emma is proud of the nursery and its staff as we believe that everything we do provides each child with an enjoyable and fulfilling experience in the most formative years of their lives but most of all they get to do it by simply having fun!

Umbrella House is a nursery that far exceeds all those around it.
